HB 211 Redistricting
Act, sponsored by Representative Rebecca Dow (R- Grant, Hidalgo & Sierra) and Representative Natalie Figueroa (D-Bernalillo), passed through
the House Appropriations and Finance Committee on a unanimous vote. There were no amendments, and the bill now heads to the full house for consideration.

SB 15 is another Redistricting
piece of legislation sponsored by Senator Ivey Soto and Speaker Egolf. It has many strengths including an independent redistricting committee.
It is expected to go to the Senate Floor. Please support SB 15 with amendments to align with the Redistricting Task Force Recommendations related to respect for tribal jurisdictions, transparency, avoiding partisan gerrymandering, and not protecting incumbents.
